Oyos publishes book on Theodore Roosevelt

TR: In Command

Professor Matt Oyos of the RU history department has published a book on Theodore Roosevelt and the American military.  The book is the first to pull together Roosevelt's involvement with the American military from his early adulthood through his presidency and post-presidential years. The work focuses on the formation of Roosevelt's ideas about military affairs, how his experiences in the Spanish-American War  affected his thinking, and how he sought to bring change during his presidency and after he left office.  Potomac Books, an imprint of the University of Nebraska Press, published Oyos's work.
