Donors Luncheon

On October 24, students Julia Lucas and Jackson Clayton joined Dr. Charles McClellan at the Partners in Excellence Luncheon. This luncheon recognizes individuals who have generously donated scholarship support. McClellan, a Professor Emeritus of History, endowed the John Davis and Charles McClellan Award to recognize academic merit in the study of world history. The late Dr. Davis was a long-time colleague of Dr. McClellan's in the Department of History, and this scholarship is also intended to recognize the excellence of instruction in world history that Professor Davis modeled. During his tenure at the university, McClellan headed the International Studies Minor, and he was a national officer of Pi Gamma Mu, the honor society in social science. Julia Lucas is a history major and was the recipient of the Davis-McClellan for 2019. Jackson Clayton is studying Criminal Justice was recognized by Pi Gamma Mu for academic excellence this year. Congratulations to both.
