Health Humanities REAL Track 1
The Health Humanities minor "E" area REAL track 1 (18-19 credits) is open to all students except for Pre-Nursing and Nursing majors as well as other students whose majors require extensive clinical and professional placements. Pre-nursing and Nursing students should pursue track 2 of the Health Humanities minor (18-19 credits).
Curriculum

- HHUM/ENGL 210: Narratives of Illness, Disability, and Caretaking (3 credits)
- PHIL 215: Healthcare Ethics (3 credits)
Required Biomedical/Health Sciences Course for Track 1 (3-4 credit hours)
Select ONE course from the following list:

- BIOL 105: Biology for Health Sciences (4 credits)
- BIOL 132: Biology of Cells and Microorganisms (4 credits)
- BIOL 334: Microbiology (4 credits)

Required Capstone Course for Track 1 (3 credit hours)
- HHUM 410: Health Humanities Capstone Experience (3 credits), OR
- HHUM 498: Independent Study/Capstone Experience (with permission of the Health Humanities Coordinator)
