Steps to Enrollment

As a recently admitted student to our Bridge Program, we want to ensure that you have all of the information you need for this important transition. Here is a checklist of steps for enrolling students: 

1. Confirm Your Enrollment

Confirm your enrollment by completing the Enrollment Confirmation Form and paying your deposit in the Highlander Portal. Watch this step-by-step video for more detailed instructions for confirming your enrollment!

2. Register for Quest

Register for the Quest Orientation date scheduled for Bridge Program students. The 2024 Quest date will be announced soon.

3. Submit Your Housing Application

Submit your housing application (find detailed instructions here). All Bridge Program students are required to live on campus and will be assigned a residence hall. You can request another Bridge student as a roommate or select an assignment based on survey questions in the housing application.

4. Complete the New River Community College Application

Complete the New River Community College Application. Your application ensures that New River has all of your student records for class enrollment in the Fall semester. The deadline to submit your NRCC application is July 1.

5. Review and Accept Financial Aid Package

Review and accept your financial aid package. (You can find complete instructions here.)

Once Quest registration is complete, prepare for Quest by completing the following:

6. Submit Final Transcripts

Be sure that you have successfully submitted a copy of your final high school transcripts. Confirm with your school counselor that they have been sent to Radford University.

7. Submit Immunization History

Complete and submit your Health Record Form. You can submit it in our online system or print a PDF and turn it in to the Office of Admissions by August 1.

8. Plan for University Bill

Make plans to pay your tuition and fees (learn more about payment deadlines here, how to set up an authorized payer here, and payment plans here).

9. Prepare for Campus Move-In

New River Community College Application Walk Through

As part of the Bridge Program enrollment process, students are required to complete an application to New River simply as a formality. This is to ensure that New River has all of your information and can set up access to courses, create your student ID card, and other essential items that will be necessary once you start classes. 

Students need to complete and submit the application no later than July 1.
