Admissions Requirements

A combination of factors including GPA, current resume, 2 professional references, official transcripts, and current teaching license will be used for determining acceptance to the certificate program.

Courses You Might Take

General educators might be interested in obtaining a Post-Professional Certificate ( 13 credit hours) in:

  • Special Education: General Curriculum-Elementary (Grades K-6)
  • Special Education: General Curriculum-Middle (Grades 6-8)
  • Special Education: General Curriculum-Secondary (Grades 9-12)

The Certificate in Autism Studies is another option requiring 12 credit hours. The Masters Only program is available for those interested in a non-licensure route.

The Five-Year program is for full-time students who immediately want to get their master’s degree after completing their bachelor’s degree.
