The snow brings out the details

A number of details have been brought out by the snow in the northeast.
The Appalachian valleys in central Pennsylvania stand out as the places that don't have snow.
Seven of New York's famous Finger Lakes south of Lake Ontario may be seen.
The condensation lines of jet contrails are seen over central Virginia.
The red circle marks the location of Radford University in the mountains of southwestern Virginia.
The "urban heat islands" of a number of Canadian towns and cities are seen north of Lake Erie and west of Lake Ontario.
Note especially the metropolitan area of Toronto at the western edge of Lake Ontario.
