Hurricane Dean

Hurricane Dean is just hitting Cuba at this moment (Sunday, August 19, 2pm).
However, Jamaica its true target, and can just barely be seen at the western periphery of Dean.
NOAA-17 was right above the hurricane when it took these images.
Note the open ocean that you can see by looking straight down through the eye of the hurricane.
