Portends of things to come

A large high pressure system parked over the eastern seaboard, bringing clear weather with it.
The clear weather was a welcome break from the rain that had saturated the mid-Atlantic and northern states, but it was not so welcome in the too-dry deep south.
Lurking offshore is a weak low pressure system, showing the counterclockwise rotation lows possess in the northern hemisphere.
Hurricane season officially starts on June 1, and we will be seeing more of such systems soon.
