Satellites: NOAA-15 and NOAA-17, part of NOAA's 850km-high (530 mile-high) Polar Orbiting satellites

Florida and Cuba across the Straits of Florida
The image below shows just how close the southern tip of Florida is to Cuba.
At their closet points, these two lie less than 130 miles (less than 200km) away from each other.
The Florida Keys are obscured by a well-placed band of clouds following their path.
