NOAA's Hydrometeorologial Prediction Center (HPC) "Daily National Forecast" image shows a daily national weather prediction

Satellites: NOAA-15 and NOAA-17, part of NOAA's 850km-high (530 mile-high) Polar Orbiting satellites

 Chaotic, unconsolidated clouds
The image below shows...not much. There don't appear to be any strong systems developing today.
However, there is a potential system over the Rockies that may bring some storms to the heartland and the eastern seaboard in a day or two.
