Here we go again???
Tropical Depression Seven
(later named Tropical Storm Gaston)
This latest tropical depression seems to be taking aim at the middle of the South Carolina coast.
The prediction is that Seven will not gather enough energy from the warm ocean waters below to turn into a hurricane, and will graze the coast before heading northeast out to sea.
Inland, the southeastern and mid-Atlantic states started this day with clear skies, along with areas of fog in the cooler mountain valleys.
On another note, the angle of the shadows in this image clearly reveal the early morning time which this image was acquired.
