Satellite: NOAA-17, one of NOAA's 850km-high (530 mile-high) Polar Orbiting satellites.

Things seem so clear after the devastation of Hurricane Charley, the floods in the southwest, and the fires of the western states.
The jet stream is seen to have retreated to the northern plains, giving those of us in the southeast much warmer weather.
