At least two semesters before you would like to offer a writing-intensive course, consult with the chair about department needs and the current rotation of courses for the next year. If the course you would like to offer as writing-intensive will be scheduled at least two semesters after your inquiry, then complete the writing-intensive course proposal form and submit to the chair two semesters before the course will be taught. The chair will submit the proposal to the Curriculum Committee for final approval or suggestions for revision before final approval. Proposals must be submitted at least two semesters before the course is taught so that it will appear as a writing-intensive course in the schedule booklet before registration.

Faculty who wish to continue to teach an approved course as writing-intensive should indicate that to the Chair at least two semesters before the course will be offered again so that it will appear as a writing-intensive course in the schedule booklet before registration.
