Author in context course

Procedure for approval

Once you have determined that you would like to teach an Author in Context course that also meets all the criteria for a writing-intensive course, notify the Chair of your intentions and complete a proposal. Submit your proposal to the Chair, who will forward it to the Curriculum Committee for approval or recommendations for revision before final approval. The Chair will keep a record of approved Author in Context courses and schedule them based upon other departmental scheduling needs and the number of sections required each year for English majors.
