Biology 105 -- Biology for Health Sciences

In Biology 105, we study the unity of life.  That is, we study those characteristics that are shared by all living organisms.  Thus, we study basic chemistry, energy dynamics, the structure and functions of cells,  and genetics and evolution.

Biology 105 fulfills a General Education credit for a lab science course.  Biology 105 is also a prerequisite for these Biology courses:  Microbiology  (BIOL334), Human Anatomy and Physiology (BIOL 322), and both of the Human Structure and Function courses (BIOL 310 and BIOL 311).
