Earnings ratios are based on median annual earnings of
full-time, year-round
workers, 15 years old and over. Before 1989 earnings are for civilian
workers only. Blacks and Asians include people of
Hispanic ethnicity.
People of two or more races are not included beginning 2002. Ratios for Asians from 1988 until 2001 included
