The Internet plays a key role in linking our schools to the limitless amount of information resources and communications capabilities. Never before have school systems had such an affordable, easily accessible means of communicating, accessing, and publishing information. This leads us to question how we as educators can tap into the
vast resources of the Internet to help improve instruction in math,
science, literacy, and the humanities and turn our students into
lifelong learners. And what teacher training is
needed to develop the technology skills required to keep up with our
modern world information age?
This site has been created as a resource to help teachers
develop an awareness of the endless possibilities the Internet has
to offer in improving the content and delivery of instruction in the
classroom, as well as addressing the issues surrounding
its rapidly emerging presence in our homes, schools and businesses.
