• Received PhD in Curriculum Instruction/ Health Promotions from Virginia Tech in May 2005
• Certified Athletic Trainer by the NATABOC since 1996
• Approved Clinical Instructor in RU's ATEP since 2003
• Clinical Instructor Educator (CIE) by the NATA since Summer 2006
• Web master for the Radford University’s Athletic Training Education Program and Exercise Sport and Health Education web pages 
• Published two article in the VAHPERD Virginia Journal (Latest April 2007 and October 2006), two on a Coaching Youth Sports web site, he has one article submission under review, and a grant proposal in the works
• Award CEHD Summer School Dean’s Grant – Topic:  Incorporating Digital Video Into The Classroom
• Active member of the NATA, MAATA and VATA
• Member of the VAHPERD Virginia Journal Editorial Board since September 2005
• Chair Elect of the General Research Division of VAHPERD - January 2007- May 2009
