Expertise: Athletic Training Education.  Specifically- athletic training organization and administration and legal issues related to athletic training.

Professional Summary:

My athletic training experience has been widely varied.  I served as a student athletic trainer at New Mexico State University, where I was the team trainer for women’s basketball.  I then progressed to the University of Oklahoma as the graduate assistant for the women’s training room, having team experience in women’s basketball and men’s and women’s gymnastics.  After receiving my master’s degree in Motor behavior with an emphasis in Sport psychology, I worked at Hank’s high school in El Paso, Texas as a biology teacher and athletic trainer for two years. From 1992 –2001, I was the Assistant Athletic Training Program Director at New Mexico State University.  I finished my doctoral work in Educational Administration in August of 2001 and came to Radford to start an athletic training education program.
