Close to 100 alumni from the Richmond area attended the RU Highlander Hour on September 12. Alumnus Jake Crocker '99 gave a tour of his soon-to-be-opened restaurant F.W. Sullivan's Canal Bar and Grille and then hosted a reception at nearby Casa Del Barco for all alumni and friends. Highlander basketball coaches Mike Jones and Mike McGuire were on hand to discuss their upcoming seasons. Check out the event's Facebook photo gallery for pictures.

The Radford University Arts Society is hosting the fundraising event Curtain Up! on Thursday, Oct. 17, beginning at 5:30 p.m. prior to the play The Dining Room. This special evening supports the Department of Theatre's Visiting Artist Program. It includes dinner, a behind-the-scenes look at the production by The Dining Room director Tommy Iafrate, and tickets to the evening's performance. The cost is $65 a person, with the proceeds supporting the theatre department. The charitable portion of each ticket is $35. RSVP by Oct. 14. Support the visiting artist program and join us for Curtain Up!
