Service and Sustainability Week begins Monday
Service and Sustainability Week continues today with the Volunteer and Service Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bonnie Student Center Plaza. For individuals looking to volunteer with local non-profits and a few for-profits, the fair is an excellent place to begin. Other events include the RU women's soccer game at 7 p.m. Friday at Cupp Stadium. Sustainable living and education will be promoted at the game through the 5 Rights FC organization. Open tryouts for the 2014 Radford baseball team will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17. The tryouts will be conducted beginning at 6 p.m. at the RU Baseball Field. Read more.

Highlander Athletics is embarking on a project to renovate the men's and women's basketball locker rooms at the Dedmon Center. These new facilities will offer our student-athletes lounges, new lockers and benches, and an updated design to the decades-old facility. The renovated locker rooms will be a signature piece for the recruitment of the best and brightest prospective student-athletes. The goal for the project is $150,000, which includes the renovation of both men's and women's basketball locker rooms and team meeting areas and the addition of player lounges and coaches locker rooms.
