Economics professor explores U.S.-China trade It has long been asserted that China's undervaluation of its yuan is the main cause of a rising U.S. trade deficit. However, Economics Professor Nozar Hashemzadeh writes in his latest published research that the United States' "strong dollar policy" has created major obstacles in reducing the country's trade deficit with China and the rest of the world.

Annie Schroeder '18 joined Charlottesville's WVIR-TV as a reporter. Schroeder got her start as the executive producer for the Radford University's student-run TV station Radford On Camera (ROC-TV). She also served a reporter and associate managing editor of The Tartan.
