Laboratories and Classrooms
In the Center for the Sciences, our students and faculty will have the freedom to extend their research capabilities, explore new complex strategies for research never thought possible at RU, and enhance grant funding potential for current and future research conducted by RU students and faculty.
Your gifts will provide our faculty and students access to the latest research technology such as a High Field NMR Spectrometer.
Building a Culture of Inquiry
From analyzing sedimentation’s effect on wastewater to exploring ways to make cancer drugs less toxic to patients, RU undergraduate student scientists are making a difference every day.
Through the new multilevel, 115,000-square-foot Radford University Center for the Sciences, students will be immersed in the “laboratory culture of inquiry.” They will gain the latest knowledge and techniques used in science disciplines in a nurturing, open, collaborative and challenging environment.
Research will be promoted and encouraged by its visibility through glass-walled laboratories, classrooms and meeting places. Thanks to this initiative, all of these learning spaces will be designed and furnished with the latest tools and technology for teaching, learning and research.
