The RU Express ID card is the official identification card for Radford University. It is used for access to meal plans, to make purchases from vending and snack machines, for access to laundry facilities, as payment for printing in computer labs and also serves as a building key for all residence halls and several academic areas. In addition to these on-campus uses, there are off-campus merchants that accept the RU Express card as a method of payment for student convenience. Learn more about the RU Express ID Card »
While supplies last...available in our office in Heth Hall.
The RU Express Office is gearing up for Spring 2019! We've listed all the information you'll need about meal plans, making deposits to RU Express, obtaining your ID and more. Students, check out our new and convenient Mobile ID app!
Students in university housing (in dorms or in university-operated apartments), PLEASE NOTE! If you were unhappy with the meal plan you had in the fall semester, you may choose a different plan for the spring! On December 11, a link will become available on the MyRU Portal, which will allow you to choose a different meal plan. By simply logging in to the Portal, clicking on the "Finances" icon, you will be able to see the "Meal Plan Change" link. Before you exit that screen, please make sure that the meal plan you want is the one that is displayed. After that, check your charges to make sure the correct plan is reflected after the change.
Off-campus (commuter student) meal plans may be purchased after December 10, 2018, online or in the office. Students who need to utilize financial aid to pay some or all of their meal plan must submit an Off-Campus Meal Plan application [PDF] and choose "Apply Financial Aid" as the payment type. These forms may be scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, faxed to 540-831-6363 or mailed to the RU Express Office, Box 6992, Radford, VA 24142. Please note that the Bursar's Office processes refunds daily, so if your refund has been processed, you will have to use your debit/credit card, check or cash to purchase the meal plan. The charge cannot be put on your student account if there is not enough financial aid credit to cover the entire purchase price.
Students enrolled in the Quik Pay payment plan (through the Bursar's Office) should complete the Off-Campus Meal Plan application [PDF] and mail the form to the Bursar's Office, Box 6922, Radford, VA 24142.
