COVID-19 Dashboard Update Shows Significant Decline in Positive Cases

Important Update on COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic at Radford University

Dear Radford Family:

Radford University continues to actively engage in COVID-19 planning, response, and reporting efforts in a thoughtful and transparent manner. As such, the latest installment and tenth update to the COVID-19 University Dashboard is now available to the campus and the community.

This past week marked 199 campus-based administered tests with 35 positive results, representing a 41 percent decrease when compared to the positive cases reported as part of the prior update. In an effort to continue this improvement, students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to continue following Commonwealth requirements, University expectations, and public health guidance to limit the spread of COVID-19. This includes, but is not limited to, wearing face coverings; exercising physical distancing; and practicing good hygiene, such as frequent handwashing.

As previously shared, the University will offer another surveillance testing opportunity on the main campus this Friday (October 30, 2020) from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Any questions regarding Friday’s testing, including required pre-registration, should be directed to COVID19@radford.edu. Let’s finish this semester healthy and strong!

With Highlander Pride,

Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.
