COVID-19 Dashboard Shows Strong Focus on Health, Safety, and Well-Being

Important Update on COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic at Radford University Message from President Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.

Dear Radford Family:

As part of the University’s weekly updates throughout the global health pandemic, I am pleased to share the latest testing data, which is now available on the University COVID-19 Dashboard. To date, as part of the Spring 2021 semester, the University has administered a total of 6,185 tests with 106 positives, representing an overall positivity rate of 1.71 percent. For the most recent reporting period, March 29, 2021 through April 4, 2021, Radford University administered 401 tests with three positives, representing a weekly positivity rate of 0.75 percent.

As the gathering limitations recently increased, Highlanders are encouraged to ensure face coverings and physical distancing are in place as we begin to hold more in-person activities and events both on-campus and off-campus. In examining the most recent data, we are well on our way to a strong finish to this semester. However, in the coming weeks, we must remain equally focused on the health, safety, and well-being of our campus and our community!

With Highlander Pride,

Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.
President
