Dear Radford Family:

As part of the University’s weekly updates throughout the global health pandemic, the latest testing data is available on the University COVID-19 Dashboard. To date, as part of the Spring 2021 semester, the University has administered a total of 5,784 tests with 103 positives, representing an overall positivity rate of 1.78 percent. For the most recent reporting period, March 22-28, 2021, Radford University administered 453 tests with 13 positives, representing a weekly positivity rate of 2.87 percent.

In examining last week’s data, there is a growing number of positive cases being detected as part of campus-based testing. To all Highlanders, please be mindful of the critical importance and continued role of COVID-19 in our daily interactions. Face coverings and physical distancing are required. We must continue to place the health, safety, and well-being of our campus and our community first and foremost as we are nearing completion of the Spring 2021 semester!

With Highlander Pride,

Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.
