Final Update to Fall 2020 Semester COVID-19 Dashboard Reflects Strong Finish by Highlander Students, Faculty, and Staff

Important Update on COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic at Radford University

Dear Radford Family:

I am pleased to share the fourteenth and final update to the COVID-19 University Dashboard for the Fall 2020 semester, which is now available on the University’s Reopening website. This most recent update is reflective of the University’s continued effort to engage in transparent reporting in response to the COVID-19 global health pandemic.

This update shares activity in the Student Health Center, as well as exit testing, from this Monday (November 16, 2020) through yesterday (Thursday, November 19, 2020), which includes 944 campus-based tests administered and 19 positive results, representing a positivity rate of 2.01 percent. In the Student Health Center, 88 tests were administered with four positive results, representing a positivity rate of 4.55 percent. For Radford University Carilion (RUC) exit testing, a total of 70 students and 20 faculty and staff participated with zero positive results, representing a positivity rate of zero percent. For main campus exit testing, a total of 590 students and 176 faculty and staff participated with 15 positive results from 13 students and two staff, representing a positivity rate of 1.96 percent.

Please note that, for accessibility and transparency purposes, an archive of the Fall 2020 dashboard will be available on the Reopening website and will include testing numbers and results from our campus reopening on July 27, 2020 through January 12, 2021. Also, as noted in this past Tuesday’s dashboard update, our weekly reporting of COVID-19 testing will return with the Spring 2021 semester. As of January 13, 2021, results will be included as part of the Spring 2021 dashboard. The initial data from prevalence testing will be posted and distributed on January 19, 2021.
