COVID-19 Dashboard Shows Strong Start to the Spring 2021 Semester

Important Update on COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic at Radford University Message from President Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.

Dear Radford Family:

As we have now completed the first week of classes for the Spring 2021 semester, I am pleased to provide the first update to the University COVID-19 Dashboard, which was launched last week and is available at https://www.radford.edu/content/radfordcore/home/reopening/university-dashboard.html. To date, as part of the Spring 2021 semester, the University has administered a total of 1,887 tests with 31 positives, representing an overall positivity rate of 1.64 percent

For the most recent reporting period, January 18-24, 2021, Radford University administered 395 tests with 11 positives, representing a weekly positivity rate of 2.78 percent. On January 19, 2021, open/walk-up testing began for main campus students and is being offered daily. Also, on January 19, 2021, open/walk-up testing began for main campus faculty and staff and is being offered Monday through Thursday. On January 22, 2021, open/walk-up testing began for Radford University Carilion (RUC) students, faculty, and staff and is being offered every Friday.
