COVID-19 Dashboard Shows Continued Low Number of Positive Cases

Important Update on COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic at Radford University Message from President Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.

Dear Radford Family:

As part of the University’s continued commitment to provide regular updates throughout the COVID-19 global health pandemic, I am pleased to share the latest testing data, which is now available on the University COVID-19 Dashboard. To date, as part of the Spring 2021 semester, the University has administered a total of 5,331 tests with 90 positives, representing an overall positivity rate of 1.69 percent.

For the most recent reporting period, March 15-21, 2021, 399 campus-based tests were administered with six positive results, representing a weekly positivity rate of 1.50 percent. As our University has a continued low number of positive cases, all Highlander students, faculty, and staff should remain fully committed to wearing face coverings, exercising physical distancing, and limiting social gatherings!

With Highlander Pride,

Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.
President
