Statement Regarding Use of D2L for Course Infrastructure

We encourage faculty to design and communicate online course presence, organization, and infrastructure to support their AY 2020-2021 courses. We recommendation that faculty will do this via D2L, Radford University’s Learning Management System (LMS). By organizing course infrastructure in D2L, faculty will support students’ ability to plan and provide a course structure that is geared to flexibly accommodate changing needs of faculty, students and our current environment. If faculty plan to use unsupported online tools to manage or organize their course, it is their responsibility to discuss alternate plans with their chair or director (e.g., ongoing access in the case of illness). Further, it is faculty's responsibility to support the students' use of the tool during the course.

Thank you,

Lyn Lepre, Provost
