Students travel to Richmond for Advocacy Day
More than three dozen Radford University students traveled to Richmond on Feb. 9-10 to take part in the annual Advocacy Day activities.
The event offered students the opportunity to meet with state legislators and present issues important to them and to the future of the university. Students also toured the Executive Mansion, visited the Virginia House of Delegates and Senate galleries and met with Gov. Terry McAuliffe.
President Penelope W. Kyle joined students, along with Board of Visitors members Mary Ann Hovis and Callie Dalton, Vice President for Student Affairs Mark Shanley, Dean of Students Irvin Clark, Associate Dean of Students Susan Trageser and Associate Vice President for Student Affairs/Activities and Recreation Kenneth Bonk.
