Highlanders lend a helping hand

Radford University students helped serve the New River Valley on Sept. 12 during the Highlanders Give Back community service project.

Students traveled to the Community Store, His Provision Food House food ministry at the Radford Worship Center and Bisset Park where they performed a variety of tasks, including spreading mulch.

Assistant Director of Student Activities- Greek Life Robert Marias said he visited many of the volunteer sites throughout the day, and the organizations agreed "we made a big impact" on the community.

Students' next opportunity to give back will be on Sept. 26, during the INASMUCH United Radford community service event. Details can be found on the RUInvolved website.
