Volunteers sought for MLK Day of Service

Radford University has observed Martin Luther King Jr. Day with unified days of community service since 2014.
The third annual service event will take place on Jan. 18. In the past, students have volunteered at the Radford Clothing Bank and the Radford Health and Rehab Center and have orchestrated food drives for area food pantries.
The number of volunteers increased by 100 percent from 2014 to 2015, according to Craig Arthur, an instruction librarian at McConnell Library.
"With your help, we can continue that amazing trend and provide even more service to the New River Valley in 2016," he said.
Students are asked to sign up to volunteer by Friday, Dec. 11 using the online form.
