Shred-A-Thon opens RU Service and Sustainability Week

RU Recycling will host Shred-A-Thon, a free campus-wide shredding event, on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 1-5 p.m., or until the shredder truck is packed.

The event, part of Service and Sustainability Week 2014, is open to all RU offices and departments or students, faculty and staff with valid RU ID to safely and securely shred and recycle unwanted documents. RU office and departments are responsible for following the proper destruction procedures that can be found at the Records Retention webpage.

The Shred-A-Thon truck locations and schedule is:

• Lot E near Armstrong Building: 1 - 1:45 p.m.
   
• Lot A near Martin and Preston halls: 2 - 2:45 p.m. 
   
• Junction of Lot EE near Cook and Peters Halls: 3 - 3:45 p.m.
   
• Lot DD near Heth Clock Tower: 4 - 4:45 p.m.
