    All day @ Radford University Art Museum at the Covington Center

    Strange Weather explores site specificity, changing climatic patterns, and symbolic narratives of home. Utilizing local newspapers as well as newspapers that she creates herself, ephemera, chance, history, and time come into conversation in the large-scale sculptural works. This exhibition will include photographs of previous work installed across the globe, three dimensional sculptures, as well as participation from the art, dance, and music departments at Radford University for a collaborative interdisciplinary event. Attend the denizens of one of literature’s most famous small towns and you’ll hear some previously unheard voices as Porterfield Ensemble puts its own slant on this American Classic about life, after it’s been lived.     The Radford Highlanders Festival brings together games, music and entertainment for festival-lovers of all ages. Festival highlights include live music, vendors, Scottish games and children's activities. The festival is a partnership between Radford University and the City of Radford, VA. This event is open to the general public with free admission.
