    All day @ Radford University Art Museum at the Covington Center

    Strange Weather explores site specificity, changing climatic patterns, and symbolic narratives of home. Utilizing local newspapers as well as newspapers that she creates herself, ephemera, chance, history, and time come into conversation in the large-scale sculptural works. This exhibition will include photographs of previous work installed across the globe, three dimensional sculptures, as well as participation from the art, dance, and music departments at Radford University for a collaborative interdisciplinary event.  Exhibition: Sept. 28 - Dec. 3, 2017

    By Beth Henley. “Crimes of the Heart” is playwright Beth Henley’s homage to her roots. The three Magrath Sisters, trapped in their small Mississippi town, wrestle with the lies and hurts of the past as they face some super-sized troubles together. Henley’s unique blend of Southern Gothic and screwball comedy is at its finest in this 1981 Pulitzer Prize winner. General Admission: $10; RU Faculty/Staff, Senior Discount (55+), and Group Rates (10+): $6; RU Student w/ID: Free.     Campus Sustainability Week event. What is a terrarium you may ask? Well, it is a glass container or vase that contains rocks and soil. In these containers can also be plants and decorative pieces. Terrariums can be shown as a demonstration of how the environment works. The terrariums that we will be making at this event will be open, therefore allowing light, water and heat that will contribute to the plants' growth.
