Graduate student Alyssa Klinkseik presents at an industry conference in California

On Friday March 23, 2018, Associate Professor of Music Business Dr. Tim Channell and graduate student Alyssa Klinkseik presented her master thesis research at the International Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association Summit in Los Angeles, California. The presentation, “Do Music Lyrics Objectify Women; a textual analysis” is the culmination of Alyssa’s research as part of the Master of Arts in Music Leadership degree requirements.

Dr. Channell said, “Alyssa represented our department, college and university with distinction. Her presentation clearly sparked the interest of the conference and the topic was very well received. She has a bright future ahead of her!”

Alyssa’s trip was graciously sponsored in part by the Radford University College of Graduate Studies and Research and the Department of Music.
