Biology major Leah Cort (2018) was awarded a prestigious undergraduate scholarship to attend the North American Dendroecological Fieldweek, a 10-day project-based internship on tree ring analysis in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem of Wyoming. Leah travelled with professor Stockton Maxwell (RU Geospatial Science and co-organizer of the workshop) and RU students Brittany Rinaldi and Thomas Callahan. The July 2018 field workshop, supported by the National Science Foundation, provided training and opportunities to collaborate with undergraduate and graduate students and professionals on forestry and dendrochronology (tree ring) research.
