My Amazing Internship


Aaron Gravellese interned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.


Gravellese included a photo of his farewell party at the conclusion of his internship. He said he was very welcomed at his job, given significant responsibility, and received valuable confidence and direction toward his future.


Kasey Campbell interned at the Wilderness Road Regional Museum. She reported having a great experience there, where duties included fund raising, grant writing, and website development.


Dr. Lyman, Internship Coordinator, introduced Gravellese and Campbell Wednesday, Sep. 25, in the return of the My Amazing Internship series, where students provide interesting information on their interning experiences and offer valuable advice to future interns.


Shanell Herbert interned at Radford University's Center for Social and Cultural Research (CSCR), assisting Dr. Allison Wisecup with research on gender disparities in media coverage of athletics.


Shylah Jones interned with the Floyd County Oral History Project. Click on the photo for more information on the continuing project. Jones and Herbert presented their internship reports Monday, March 18 at the Bonnie.
