JumpStart is an interactive event designed to boost your skills and allow you the opportunity to become the best professional version of yourself. Over the course of two hours, you will have the chance to meet young alumni, professors and working professionals who will share advice and insight about what led to where they are now. Conversation and genuine communication can make a large impact in your career!

No-Show Policy:

If you register for an event, you are expected to attend. If you can no longer attend the event, you must cancel your registration in Handshake and call our office at 540-831-5373 at least 48 hours before the date of the event. Failing to cancel your registration and not attending the event will be considered a no-show. If there are three “no-show” incidences within a semester, the student’s Handshake account could be blocked for the remainder of the semester.
