In Honor of the Fall Class of 2020

Dear Radford University Fall 2020 Graduating Class:

Today marks your official transition from Highlander student to Radford graduate. You are now part of a growing network of dedicated and passionate Highlander alumni who span the Commonwealth of Virginia, the nation, and the world!

Your graduation comes at a challenging time for our nation and our University as we remain in the midst of a global health pandemic that has changed every facet of our campus and our society. Like each of you and your loved ones, I wish we were able to join together in person to enjoy this special occasion. This virtual celebration of your achievements, although very different, is just as significant.

I am so incredibly proud of you for accomplishing your goals in the face of adversity. And, I wish you continued success in the next phase of your educational, personal, and professional pursuits.

I sincerely hope that you will return home to your alma mater in the Spring of 2021 for a much-deserved and long-awaited celebration for you and your fellow Highlanders, the Fall 2020 graduating class. Congratulations, you did it!

2020 Graduates: Save the Date

We look forward to seeing you and celebrating in person! All undergraduate and graduate ceremonies for the Class of 2020 at both main campus and Radford University Carilion, as well as related events, will be held from Thursday, April 29, 2021 through Sunday, May 2, 2021. Commencement details, including a schedule of events with ceremony dates, times, and locations, will be posted on the University’s website by March 1, 2021.

A Tribute to the Spring Class of 2020

Dear Radford University Class of 2020:

Today marks your official transition from Radford student to Highlander graduate.  You are now part of a global network of proud alumni!

Your graduation comes at an unprecedented time for our nation and our University.  Like each of you, I wish we were able to join together and celebrate this milestone.  However, this year’s celebration is different, but please know that it is just as special.

I cannot adequately express how proud I am of each and every one of you for pursuing your dreams and achieving your goals.  And, I wish each and every one of you great success in your careers and your lives.

I sincerely hope that all of you will return home to your alma mater in December for a deserving celebration and fitting tribute to you, the Radford University Class of 2020.  Congratulations, you did it!
