Center for Gender Studies Presents "Molly Ivins Can't Say That, Can She?"
Molly Ivins, bestselling author and widely syndicated politi- cal columnist for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, says politics, particularly in Texas, is great entertainment -- "better than the zoo, better than the circus, rougher than football, and even more aesthetically satisfying than baseball."
One of the nation's wittiest and best-known political pundits, Mary Tyler Ivins, better known as Molly, was born August 30, 1944 in Monterey, California, but grew up in Houston.
Ivins, the author of the bestselling book, Molly Ivins Can't Say That Can She?, is the former co-editor of the liberal monthly Texas Observer and former Rocky Mountain bureau chief
for the New York Times. Her  accomplishments are numerous,
including  a bestselling book about George W. Bush (Shrub) and three Pulitzer Prize nominations.
     Molly Ivins' visit to Radford
University is sponsored by the Center for Gender
Studies,  with the assistance of an anonymous donor and the Radford University Foundation.
Commentary by Molly Ivins is typically characterized as witty, controversial, and stimulating. Come see for yourself on March 21, 7:30 p.m., in Preston Auditorium, as Ivins speaks her mind on gender, politics, and life. The event is free and open to the public.
