Dr. Marge Murray, Associate Professor
of mathematics at Virginia Tech, is a native
of Chicago and a graduate of the
University of Chicago (SB 1979) and Yale
(PhD 1983).   She has been at Virginia
Tech since 1983, but she has held visiting
positions at the University of Texas
(1985), University of Minnesota (1988-'89),
and the Mills College Summer
Mathematics Institute for Women (1991).
Dr. Murray is most recently the author of
"Women Becoming Mathematicians:
Creating a Professional Identity in Post-
World War II America" (MIT Press 2000).
