a discussion with Dr. Mary Ferrari,
          Chairperson, Dept. of History
          Radford University
          Thursday, April 12th, 12:30 p.m.
          Radford Room, Heth Hall

Dr. Mary Ferrari is chair of the history department at Radford University. She says her talk will
focus on "historical models as well as what we see today" in terms of "strategies that women use
to reach their goals" and become leaders. She plans to present 4 or 5 women's life stories as an
introduction to different models of leadership. The conversation will then be open to discussion
about what types of leadership we see in our daily lives, how women leaders influence society,
differences in men's and women's leadership styles, etc. Dr. Ferrari plans to invite former
Presidents of the Faculty Senate (the last three have been women) to attend and join the discussion.
