Teaching and Research Areas:
I teach primarily in the area of taxation and principles of accounting. My primary research area is also in tax. I study our tax system and rules, how these affect individuals and businesses, and how an entity can use our system and rules to lower their tax liability. I also study the rights taxpayers have when dealing with various tax authorities. I am also interested in issues that involve both financial reporting and taxation.

Hobbies, etc:
I like all outdoor activities, particularly fishing, hunting, and golf. My wife, Lynn, is also a Professor of Accounting at RU. We both love antiques and love to go on "antiquing" trips together, looking for that special item. We both love animals and have five dogs and three cats to occupy our free time.
