You're on deadline, and somehow this is the only version of a photo that HAS to be used on the 12h x 9w magazine cover. How do you fix it?

PART I
First, pull it over to your desktop. Then
2. Rotate the photo using the menu command Image / Rotate Canvas
3. invert the color from negative to positive using the menu command Image/ Adjustments / Invert
4. Crop it with the crop tool
5. Repair the erasures on the sky with the clone tool
PART II: Now, to make it into a magazine cover, you need to replace the sky with a gradient.
1. Expand the "canvas" by making it larger at the top.
2. use the magic wand tool to erase the rest of the sky
3. Create a new layer and place it under the old layer
4. Put a sky-like gradient on the new lower layer
5. Use the text tool to provide a 72 point + Title for your ballooning magazine

LESSSON 2 -- Bed & Breakfast website photo preparation (From Hartman, Lesson One)

The idea is to make this ready for a website.
1. crop
2. level adjust
3. color adjust
4. increase canvas size and use drop shadow
5. Advertise your bed & breakfast company in text, also using drop shadow and compatible color
6. optimize and save for web
7. display as lesson 2
LESSON THREE - Mediterranian Perspectives
1. Take these three files, drag them over to your desktop, and put them together into one psd file with three layers. As always, level and color adjust.
2. Remove the white area from the tile and use the Edit / Transform function to make the tile the right size and proportion to fit as a decoration for some of the tiles in the main photo. Duplicate this layer as needed.
3. Cut out the alcove windows in the main photo and insert the image of the ocean horizon. Transform as needed.
4. Save as a jpg on your web site as Lesson 3.

LESSON FOUR
Remember paper dolls? This is a lot like paper dolls, except its all digital.
Put the hat, boots, pants, and coat on the kid in different layers. Make sure the clothing layers fit in terms of size and orientation. Then save for web and put on your site.
