Three Whimmers Say Their Goodbyes

For the past two years, I have been working as the Life Section manager for Whim, and, despite the teasing and sometimes crying that ensues after production nights, I would do it all over again. I have met some of the best people through working with this magazine. My fond memories include Ed Porter spinning around in his chair yelling "Monitor tan," and getting in karate fights with the one and only Andrew Lent. Although we didn't get paid (anyone that knows John Severino already knows this), it was one of the best jobs I have ever had. I want to wish everyone luck with whatever their future endeavors may be. Thanks for all the support over the years, and keep reading, because it's only going to get better! - Katey Leiter, Life Manager

I'm going to miss working with Whim, as I've met a lot of cool people and made some good friends. I hope to contribute an article here or there as I leave the comfort of college behind and enter the real world. This summer, I'll be interning at The Roanoke Times and then pursuing a job in the field, preferably with an entertainment-based publication. - Adam Frazier, Ritz Manager

My time with Whim has been well spent. It has been one of the most enjoyable experiences here at Radford, and it was my first real taste of what student media has to offer. I joined Whim mid-semester last spring, and since then, I've not only had a blast, I've also learned a lot in my time here. Come fall, I am going to move on to become the editor in chief of The Tartan, Whim's lovable yet greatly feared competitor in student media. I am going to miss all of the times spent during Whim production nights singing Bon Jovi and countless other corny songs, not to mention the grand finale water-gun fight during the last production. Above all, I am going to miss Adam Frazier's rendition of Yoda: "Mmmmmm." Good luck to everyone graduating; Adam, Katey and Andrew, don't do anything I wouldn't do, and hey, maybe I'll see you around the journalism beat once I graduate. To all sticking around with Whim, I'll see you around the lab next year! - Michael Conner, Tech Manager

Somebody has to continue Mike's SFYA section next semester. That is a must.

It is a tradition of the Tech section, so I agree, whoever takes over must continue it.
