Whim Internet Magazine provides a wide variety of students the opportunity to get involved with student media, build their portfolio and gain a working knowledge of running a professional and interactive website. You don't have to be a Media Studies major or know HTML to join; all you need is access to the web, an e-mail account and a drive to help produce the best magazine possible.
Whim offers a range of topics and opportunities for the interested student to contribute. Currently Whim has seven sections: Life, Tech, Ritz, Sports, Vent, Toons and Events. Content includes articles about student life, clubs and organizations, breaking news, technology on campus and around the world, music/movie/book reviews, art and entertainment, RU and national sports, positive/negative editorials, rants, poetry and horoscopes, as well as cartoons, flash movies and an events calendar.
Not inclined to write? That's ok, you can still contribute to Whim as a copy-editor, graphic artist, photographer, programmer, or as a public relations promoter.
If your talents aren't mentioned above, don't fret, Whim is always seeking to expand its staff and capabilities believing that only through diversity of perspective and talent can we truly reach the students of Radford University.
