What's new in Student Activities?

At RU there is always plenty to do and then some. You will find a plethora of educational and fun-filled activities, approximately 160 student clubs or organizations to join, sporting events to cheer on the Highlanders and so much more. All this is planned to let you know that you are important to us and that we want you to consider RU your home-away-from-home.

So how do you find out about everything going on? One source is the Student Events Interactive Calendar. It is a great source that includes movies, theater, music performances, meetings, concerts, lectures, dances, novelty events, competitions, intramural's, sports clubs games, etc.

We encourage you to come and see for yourself how much we have to offer.

RU Student Awards Committee
Seeks Nominations for Annual Honors

The Radford University Student Awards Committee is accepting nominations for annual honors given to outstanding students, organizations, and advisors.

RU students, faculty, and staff are eligible to nominate individuals and student organizations for these awards. Nomination forms and applications are available online at http://www.radford.edu/stuact/forms.html

Awards for RU students, organizations, and advisors include the following:

Radford University’s Outstanding Student Award
Senior Excellence Award
Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges
Advisory Excellence Award
Community Service Program Award
Outstanding Student Organization Award
Programming Excellence Award
Unsung Hero Award

Nominations for RU’s Outstanding Student Award and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges should be submitted to Heather Evans, Associate Director of Student Activities and Leadership, in Hurlburt Student Center Room 212, by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010.

The deadline for all student applications is Monday, March 22, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. Award recipients will be selected by the Student Awards Committee and honored at the Student Awards Ceremony and Dessert Reception in Muse Banquet Hall at 4:30 pm on Friday, April 23, 2010.
